Özet: Process of project-based learning is known that it gains plenty of contributions on learning and various skills. To define the reflection of this process with students' journals is the main point of the current study. The purpose of this research is to determine the benefits of the project based learning through journals which were used during the "Creating a Motion Chain" Project. In this study, the students who were in this project were asked to note that they had kept journals during their project to reflect their experiences, feelings. The study was conducted within eight weeks, in the course of the Science Teaching Laboratory Activities II, which is in the third year of Science Education Teacher Program at X University. The participants in the study consisted of 51 (37 female and 14 male) university students. Journals were used as data collection tools and technique of document analysis was conducted. Codes and themes were composed of analyzing the data obtained from the journals. Results of this study showed that students’ statements were categorized in four themes as learning outcomes, awarness, emotions and negativenesses. In addition, students mentioned that the benefits of project based learning as moslty produce ideas, exchange of ideas, feel the sense of achievement, feel happy and excited. It is suggested that course activities should be included project-based learning more  in line with these results.
