Özet: In recent years, however, the increased importance of the subject of the research on socioscientific issues in Turkey are also highlighted in the same direction. In this study, it is intended to be a comprehensive review of research published between the years 2008-2018 for all theses and articles socioscientific issues in Turkey were evaluated. So, it is aimed to present a holistic perspective by examining the studies carried out on socioscientific issues in terms of certain characteristics. The examination of related theses and articles was carried out in the survey model and 101 studies were determined according to the criteria; “year of research, research subject, aim of research, research type, research method, data collection tools and results”. According to the findings; It was determined that the year in which most work was carried out was 2018 and the year without any work was 2010. While the theses on this subject were more limited, it was seen that the articles were in the majority. It was observed that scales and interview forms were the most used data collection tools and argumentation forms and scenarios were the least. It was determined that the number of quantitative and qualitative research was equal in the research method followed. Generally, it was understood that the subject studied was GMOs foods. The study groups were mostly composed of teachers and middle school students. In general, it was found that the aim of determining opinions, argumentation skills, attitudes and decision-making tendencies towards socioscientific issues was aimed. It is thought that the results obtained from this study will be the source of future research on sociological issues and will provide important practical benefits in this direction.
