Özet: Outdoor learning environments refer to many activities and areas that are planned-programmed, associated with achievements and created within the context of the curriculum. Social media, Web 2.0 tools, educational web pages, Education Information Network (in Turkish, EBA) etc. digital/virtual environments such as portals, virtual/augmented reality applications, virtual classrooms, virtual laboratories and virtual museums are used as outdoor learning environments. Science radio is also included in digital outdoor learning environments. Before creating a digital science radio/using it as an outdoor learning environment, the perceptions, wishes, needs, etc. of secondary school students about science radio. needs to be determined. In this study, it is aimed to determine the views of middle school students towards science radio. For this purpose, a semi-structured interview form was created for the students' perceptions of science radio, "associating science radio with lessons", "effect of science radio learning outcomes" and "determination of their participation and follow-up status in science radio". Based on the maximum diversity sample which is one of the purposeful sample types; Interviews were made with students from different grade levels, different genders, different academic achievement levels and different school types. The data collected from the interviews were subjected to content analysis. In this context, categories were created with the data obtained. As a result of this study, various ideas about students' perceptions of science radio have emerged. It has been seen that many students consider science radio as a radio related to science lesson and radio that discusses astronomy topics. The students stated that they would listen to such a science radio always or often. It was determined that the students studying in the fifth, sixth, seventh and eigth grades want to listen to the science radio by telephone. In line with the data obtained, it is suggested that internet supported radios can be used in outdoor environments.
