Özet: In this study, the opinions of prospective teachers about argumentation based education were examined. The research; located in one of Turkey's Central Anatolia province was carried out by 22 teachers working in an Anatolian high schools. Participants are in the field of 13.63% chemistry, 22.72% literature, 9.09% biology, 9.09% English 9.09% mathematics 9.09% philosophy 4.54% physics. In this research, case study, which is one of the qualitative research methods was used. In the research, “Interview Form for Argumentation” was used as data collection tool. In the research, the data were obtained through face-to-face interviews and a semi-structured written interview form. During the analysis of the data, the participant teachers were grouped according to their fields using content analysis and each of them was given individual codes. In the study, the participant teachers think that argumentation arouses interest in the lesson, contributes to critical thinking skills and provides permanent learning.
