Özet: For societies, the issue of the education and socialization of new generations has always been a topic of discussion. The drift of societies with healthy socialization processes against the changes and transformations will be less and also controllable. The subject of this study is to identify and evaluate various elements of religious socialization universes in which religious feelings and thoughts specific to the Turkish nation have matured and embodied in Yahya Kemal's works. While the memoirs of Yahya Kemal's life are important data for us, his feelings and thoughts about certain places and symbols (Eyüp, Süleymaniye, Topkapı, call to prayer/Adhan, etc.) that he has taken as the subject of his articles in some magazines and newspapers also contributed to our topic. When we consider religious socialization as the process of refreshing the connection of a nation with its spirit and belief roots and building its identity by coming together with its own cultural and historical codes; It will be seen that Yahya Kemal also has a lot to say. Because Yahya Kemal is one of the rare authors who has lived through all the intuitive and cognitive processes in the socialization cycle intensely and managed to reflect this intensity in his writings. The aim of the study is to examine Yahya Kemal, who is known as a poet, thinker and politician, who has been the subject of many research and books in many different fields, especially in literature, from the perspective of sociology of religion due to his subjects and approaches. In this way, it is aimed to both contribute to the enrichment of the existing literature and to make a kind of inventory and control the solid elements of the religious socialization universes that have been described through the eyes of a person who has witnessed the social reality of a nation. The examination of the subject in the context of a technical conceptualization as a religious socialization universe makes this study different from other studies on Yahya Kemal. When Yahya Kemal is mentioned, the business view aesthetics and fineness of traditional societies come to mind immediately. For tradition transfer is vital for religious socialization. Yahya Kemal does not only discover the treasure of tradition that includes this "business vision aesthetics and the subtlety of existence" mentioned in the lands we live on and in our spiritual geography that surrounds us all around. He himself exists by being filtered from these traditional retorts. It is necessary to think again and sensitively on the symbolic structures such as adhan, the Quran and mosques, which are integral elements of the religious socialization universe, and the spiritual climate and enthusiasm of Ramadan, iftar, special religious days (kandil) and Eid mornings, which transcend time and space for individuals. While pointing to the family, which is a micro universe in the religious socialization of the child, through the example of the mother who had a great influence on Yahya Kemal; With the poem Koca Mustâpaşa, attention is drawn to another universe, that is the neighborhood, which has elements that can be called macro for the religious socialization of the child. We can easily say that the prominent elements and determinations of the neighborhood are contemporary items that shed light on the socialization processes even today. Yahya Kemal's discussions and dialogues with Babanzâde Ahmet Naim Bey can also be read as an experience that shows that there is always a basis of tolerance that allows people to understand each other without ignoring and excluding, despite the different perspectives they have. The ceremony for starting the education life, which is narrated by Yahya Kemal himself, is worth mentioning as it carries many qualities and symbols belonging to the universe of religious socialization. The speed of change, transformation and disappearance of the concepts in the minds of individuals who grow up in the digital axis of modern times and live fast is increasing day by day. Therefore, the religious socialization universes that individuals live in since childhood are of paramount importance. While all symbolic values and memories acquired through the universe of religious socialization minimize the distortion that individuals will experience, they can also be a safe haven and a destination line for the individual to return to, after all kinds of intellectual and spiritual confusion and depression.
