Özet: In this study, we will discuss whether Imām Māturīdī is the author of Persian treatise Pandnāma-i Māturīdī (The Aphorisms of Māturīdī) or not, then we will present Turkish translation of the text. We will try to reach an opinion by analyzing the text in terms of language and contents. Māturīdī does not mention of this treatise in his Kitāb al-Tawhīd and Ta’wīlātu Ahl al-Sunna. Therefore, we will make a content analysis of the text and reach a cautious decision. We will first make an assessment of the author's origin and then we will see whether his native language is Persian or not. Because of the language in which Pandnâma is written is Persian, this language is important for the evaluation of the text. The claim that Mâturîdî knows this language however, should be met with caution. Since the evidences on this issue show that the reality is different from that claim. After these evaluations, we will make some comparisons between Mâturîdî's works and Pandnâma. We will make the comparison in two stages. In the first stage, we will try to focus on the differences between some thoughts in Mâturîdî's works and Pandnâma. After this stage we will move to the second and we will try to identify the similarities between some of Mâturîdî's thoughts and Pandnâma. Our goal in doing so is to consider both possibilities of whether the work belongs to him or not and to reach a more objective conclusion.
