Özet: The idea of economik security is especially difficult to grasp, both in theory and in policy–making. On the one hand it is always seen as closely interlinked with other security sectors. On the other, however, it is commonly agreed that it is pointless to search for any economically secure reference object since a certain degree of insecurity is an inherent attribute of almost any market–related activities. The aim of this work is to show how the discourse on economic security can be put in a broader framework of contemporary economic theory and of systemic aspects of security developed in other parts of this book.
