Özet: The main purpose of this article is to explain the evolution of new relations between the military and the media. The balance between the people, military and the government will be considered. Technological innovations during the 19th century changed war. As a result, war journalism, beginning with the Crimean War, is now being conducted in the more dangerous atmosphere of today’s highly violent wars. Therefore the media has become an important factor to be evaluated by war planners. During historical developments, three different systems regulating the relations between soldiers and war correspondents have occurred. These are embedded journalism, accreditation and the pool system. In media–soldier relations, the importance of secrecy for soldiers and the demands of correspondents create a natural conflict. Embedded journalism, while making it easy for correspondents to reach the front line, has raised criticism about producing news under such controlled effects
