Özet: This article aims to examine the regime theories, which put a claim on the possibility of interstate cooperation notwithstanding the anarchic nature of international system, and thus, which call into question the “inevitability of the conflict” as emphasized by the realist theory. In this context, the concept of regime, the ontological and epistemological debates that pertain to it, and the interest, power and knowledge based approaches that reflect the plural nature of the regime theory will be successively analyzed
