Özet: In this study, it is aimed to analyze the environment awareness and environmental consciousness of teacher candidates according to different variables. In accordance with this purpose, scanning modal from quantitative research methods was used. This research was applied in 2021-2022 educational year, spring semester. 312 teacher candidates that are students on Gazi University, Educational Faculty, departments of Biology education, Science Education, Maths Education, Chemistry Education, Turkish and German Language Education attended to this study. As the data gathering tool, “Biology Teacher Candidates’ Environment Awareness and Environmental Consciousness Scale” and “Personal Information Form” that is prepared by the researcher by gathering expert opinion were used. The analysis of the gathered data was performed through using IBM SPSS packet programme and suitable tests. As a result of the study, it is determined that teachers’ candidates environment awareness and environmental consciousness total points were logically differentiating according to variables like the educational programme, class level, getting environment classes, owning a pet, growing a plant and the frequency of attending to nature walks.
