Özet: Hifz is described as memorizing the Quran in its entirety. Today, in terms of Turkish case, hifz education could be provided by Quran courses related to Presidency of Religious Affairs as well as through civil society initiatives. In order to improve the quality of this education, several researches have been conducted by both the Presidency of Religious Affairs and independent researchers. The doctoral dissertation prepared in the field of Philosophy and Religious Studies at the Hitit Universtiy, Institute of Social Sciences in 2018 by Huseyin Algur, who is currently an assistant professor at Giresun University, was published into a book in 2019. In addition to the literature on hifz education, this study includes examples of hifz education from different countries, the currently applied hifz methods, examination of data obtained through qualitative and quantitative methods on motivational, psycho-social and stress situations of individuals receive hifz education in the light of previous studies and author’s recommendations for the development of the field and increasing the quality of hifz education given in the Quran courses. In this study, it is aimed to present the way author approaches to the subject and his contribution to the field.
