Özet: General Directorate of Forestry (GDF) has been implemented stumpage sale to reduce production costs and production processes and impairment losses experienced in the post, to shorten the lengthy process of marketing, to make production according to market demand and to reconstruct the forest villagers since 1996. In this study, the stumpage sale has been tried to reveal the strengths and weaknesses according to the post-production of raw wood materials sales. Within Artvin and Muğla Regional Directorate of Forestry, 3 stumpage sales analysed and compared with post-production of raw wood materials sales in terms of economic situations. On the other hand, unstructured interviews were conducted for data collections. According to the study results; stumpage sale has not been given the expected useful results. Therefore, new regulations should be made on stumpage sale.
