Özet: This study aims to determine the effect of charismatic leadership characteristics of school principals on school development according to the perceptions of teachers working in different school levels. The study is in a quantitative research method and it is a research conducted in relational survey model. The universe of the research consists of 3654 teachers working in primary, secondary and high schools in Kartal district of Istanbul province in the 2019-2020 academic year. The sample of the research was obtained according to the simple random sampling method; It consists of a total of 447 teachers working at primary, secondary and high school levels. "Charismatic Leadership Scale (CLS)" and "School Improvement Survey" were used as data collection tools in the study. The data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, correlation and regression analysis. As a result of the study, it was observed that there was a significant relationship between the charismatic leadership characteristics of school principals and school development, and it was observed that the charismatic leadership traits of school principals were a predictor of school development.
