Özet: The elderly population is increasing day by day in our country as well as all over the world. Our society is getting older with the decrease in birth rates. This makes it necessary to conduct scientific researches in various dimensions about elderly people. In this study, it was aimed to determine the level of life satisfaction of elderly people and how their religious attitudes affect their life satisfaction. The research was carried out with individuals over 60 years old residing in Seben district of Bolu province. The study was conducted between October and December 2019 with 84 elderly participants, adhering to a random sample. 58.3% of the participants are women and 41.7% are men. No significant difference was found between the life satisfaction of the participants according to the variables of gender, marital status, education level, and monthly income. A significant difference was found between the life satisfaction of the subjects according to the variables of age, assessment of their financial situation, use of prescription drugs, benefiting from social assistance and interviewing with their relatives. A positive correlation has found between the religious attitudes of the participants and their life satisfaction. As a result of the regression analysis to determine what the effect of religious attitude on life satisfaction was, it was found to be β1 = 0.582. It was found that the religious attitudes of the participants were at a high level (29,952 ± 3,456) and their life satisfaction was at a medium level (16,690 ± 5,280).
