Özet: In this study, a chemical treatment systems (coagulation-flocculation) was applied for automotive wastewater using ferric chlorid (FeCl3) and poly-aluminium chloride (PAC) as flocculant to determine the effectiveness for removal of chemical oxygen demand (COD) and total phosphorus (TP) and was compared with operating costs. The rsults obtained proved that PAC was comperatively more efficient than FeCl3. PAC showed (optimum dose 1 mL/L) 85% removal for COD and 86% of TP. The comparison about operation costs, PAC less than FeCl3 1300 ₺ per 1000 m3 treated wastewater.
