Özet: Energy has been one of the most important issues that humanity has been dealing with since the beginning of history. The energy used to meet the most basic needs since the beginning of history has gained a different dimension with the Industrial Revolution. The Industrial Revolution increased the need for energy and caused the search for new resources. II. After the World War, countries entered a rapid growth process, thereby increasing the need for energy. In addition to this situation, due to the excessive use of energy, it has started to appear in environmental problems. In this study, the increase of energy consumption over the years considering the energy consumption of Turkey between the years 2009-2019 were examined. changes according to regions and years of energy consumption in Turkey is shown. According to the data, Kruskal-Wallis Test and Post-Hoc Test were conducted in order to compare energy use between 12 regions and to reveal the difference. According to the Post-Hoc Test results, it was determined that the energy consumption in the Northeastern Anatolia, Eastern Black Sea, Middle Eastern Anatolia and Central Anatolia regions caused a significant difference as a result of comparisons. It is concluded that there is a medium positive relationship between energy consumption and GNP. The selected West Marmara and East Marmara regions were analyzed in the SPSS 22 program and it was concluded that the distributions were normal. Levene Test was applied to measure the variance distribution of these two regions and it was concluded that the variances were homogeneously distributed. Finally, it was concluded that there was a significant difference in terms of energy usage of two regions, which were applied Mann-Whitney U Test, which is one of the two independent sample tests for these two regions.
