Özet: The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between somecharacteristics of orthopedically disabled children, some characteristics of theirfamilies, and their contact with their families and relatives, their familyrelationships, some characteristics of their disability and their self-concept level.This research was conducted on forty children in the School of Doğan ÇağlarOrthopedically Disabled Children.In order to collect the data a questionnaire form, Self-Concept Scale and FamilyRelations Sub inventory which is included in Hacettepe Personality Inventory wereused. The collected data were using “t”, ”r” and ANOVA statistics. As a result ofresearch, there was found a significant relationship between the variables of familyrelationships, children’s positive feelings about their own disability and selfconcept level
