Özet: This study is performed to see the effects of physical training on thegross motor skills of the children with mental retardation. This studyperformed on 7 girls and 5 boys with mental retardation between theages of 3-6 years. The study is performed in a pretest-training-posttestdesign. The sample children were given a training program includingwalking, running, jumping etc. skills. As a result it was seen that therewere a significant differences between pretest and posttest results. Itwas concluded that physical training supports gross motordevelopment of mentally handicapped children
