Özet: Disabled people live different from other people who live in “normal life” conditions. Being dependent to other people, distance from education and work life, improper arrangement of physical environment, problems related to rehabilitation, support and services are obstacles to disabled people to lead a “normal life”. Disability is a problem that occurs not to the person’s being physically disabled but because of the adverse living conditions one is subject to. In other words, disability is produced by social conditions. This paper, by making use of the concept a “normal life”, aims to offer some suggestions about changing to perception of disability and disabled people in the society and making social and physical arrangements to create some possibilities for disabled people. Those suggestions include bureaucratic arrangements, scientific research, social policy and informing the public
