Özet: There are different approaches to the disabled persons within historical process. Disability is seen as a biological illness in the genetic approach. On the other hand in the social approach environmental factors are more important than genetic illness. In the genetic approach having child of mentally disabled persons is not seen acceptable cause of understanding disability is genetic and there are no more things to do for these persons. On the other hand in the social approach understanding marriage, having child of mentally disabled persons and improvement their parenting skills are more acceptable
