Özet: Families with mentally retarded children can suffer so many psycho-social and economic problems. Factors such as having an exceptional child, dependency to the family, having difficulty on accepting the child, conflicts between spouses, lifelong care, what will happen to the child after the death of the parents, and economic worries may cause various problems among these families. At below study, some problems of the families with mentally retarded children and what sort of study could do by social workers are discussed
