Özet: The main subject of this paper is the adequate design of playground and outdoor in urban environment and their easily accessibilities for children with disabilities. In this study, especially the design criteria of playground, which gives opportunity children have different abilities in the common play area, has been investigated. Both disabled and “normal” children have the right of game. Playground area should be designed for every child which has different mentally or physically ability and different potential. These areas also should be included with both appropriate planting materials and constructional details responding to the need of game for children. The result of the study, the selection criteria of plant materials, the accessibility of playground areas and the characteristics of playground equipments in both play ground areas in urban landscapes and the gardens of hospitals and therapy centers, which have gardens which are called as healing gardens and sensory gardens have been given
