Özet: Nottingham Health Profile and Short Form 36 are reliable, valid, easy to useapproaches in the assessment of quality of life perception related to healthin healthy and diseased population and geriatric individuals. The aim of thisstudy was to assess the relation between comparable parameters ofNottingham Health Profile and Short Form 36 quality of life measures andto compare measure performances. 49 geriatric individuals whose meanage 68, 04± 7, 83 included in this study. Both of Nottingham Health Profileand Short Form 36 were applied to individuals. Responses to Short Form36 showed more decreased ceiling and floor effect and more homogeneitythan responses to Nottingham Health Profile. Energy and physical functionparameters were highly correlated (p<0. 01), pain parameters wereintermediate, social parameters (p<0. 05) and mental health (p<0. 01)parameters were low correlated in both of the measures. It is agreed thatShort Form 36 would better to use instead of Nottingham Health Profilewhen the responses of homogeneity considered in geriatric individuals
