Özet: This study is performed to see the effects of physical training on the grossmotor skills of the children with mental retardation. This study performed on7 girls and 5 boys with mental retardation between the ages of 3-6 years.The study is performed in a pretest-training-postet design. The samplechildren were given a training program including walking, running, jumpingetc. skills. As a result it was seen that there were a significant differencesbetween pretest and posttest results. It was concluded that physical trainingsupports gross motor development of mentally handicapped children
