Özet: Sports is an important tool which has physical, psychological, and social effects on child development rather than a kind of physical activities in leisure time. Moreover, it is essential to point out that sports has developmental contributions to the children’s lives as well as contributions which prevent social exclusion, antisocial behaviours stemming from their living conditions and discriminative attitudes. In this review study, how to express the contribution of sports to the lives of children in disadvantaged conditions with a critical theory perspective is discussed by reviewing the relevant literature studies.
