Özet: The Kapıcam Nature Park is located in the Mediterranean Region, Kahramanmaras Province and the Central District. The area is between 37º 1'20''- 37º 2'46''and eastern longitudes 37º 29'50''- 37º 28'58''through the northern latitudes. Nature Park and General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks due to its natural and cultural resource values, covering the 179-hectare area which is 13 km away from the city center of Kahramanmaras province, the proposal of the General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks with the Ministry's Authority dated 25.09.2008 and number 362, was declared as a park. Kahramanmaras and the people living in the surrounding area, recognizing the plant species in the area, the nature conservation awareness, as well as the promotion and conservation of natural resources were made various arrangements. There are nearly 300 trees and bushes in the park, of which 199 have been diagnosed and other species have been diagnosed. Some of these trees are endemic and are located in tropical plant species that do not grow naturally in Kahramanmaras and Turkey. The Botanic Garden, which is located in the Kapıcam Nature Park, which houses many herbaceous and woody plants, is also an area of interest for botanical enthusiasts. The main tree, which is the main tree of the red-headed tree, has red wood trees, aged 90 to 120 years old. There are also Lauretum (500-975 m) Pinus brutia, Oleaconifer forest zone. Various species of birds such as rabbits, squirrels, reptiles, figs birds and black birds live in the Kapıcam Nature Park. Kapıcam Natural Park is a junction point connecting Gaziantep highway with South eastern Anatolia Region, Adana highway with Mediterranean region, Kayseri highway with Central Anatolia Region and Malatya highway with Eastern Anatolia Region. The tree ponds in the park with a total capacity of four decare contribute to the improvement of the wild life as well as meeting the water need of the plants in the area. The garden departments; Advisory Unit, Medicinal aromatic herb garden, tree artificial ponds with onion plants, baby cared room, nature presentation unit and social facilities. Since the Kahramanmaras Provincial Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks was established, the plants brought from many localities were planted in the garden, coming to the final stage of completion of infrastructure works. Infrastructure and planting studies are still continuing. There are close to 300 plant species planted and grown for various purposes in the garden.
