Özet: In the study conducted to determine the effect of snow and wind on the greenhouses in Kırşehir province, the values of Turkey Standards Institute (TSI 498) and long years of meteorological data for Kırşehir were used. It was determined that the prevailing wind direction of Kırşehir province is north and the strong blowing wind speed arises from the southern and northern directed winds. When the wind load values are considered, it is seen that the speed of strong wind in the province is 34.0 m s-1 in the south-southeast direction according to 57 years of meteorological data. The effective force of the wind at this speed is q=72.25 kg m-2 per 1 m2. The wind speed pressure for the Kırşehir province by months was taken as q=80 kg m-2, which was deemed appropriate according to the TSI values. When the long-term meteorological records of the Kırşehir province are examined, it is seen that the average wind speeds vary between 1.9-3.6 m s-1. It is seen that the ventilation efficiency of these wind speeds, which occur in 5 different window openings ranging between 10-50 cm in the greenhouse, vary between 1.7-15.8 m3 s-1. It was determined that the number of hourly air changes in the greenhouse will vary between 7 and 64. When the ventilation efficiency is evaluated, a good ventilation activity was observed in the greenhouses through natural ventilation in 30 cm and above window openings. Additionally, the value to be taken as the snow load is Pko= 80 kg m-2 in the province, which is included in the 1st region according to the snow load regions according to the TSI standards. It was determined that the values of ice load, which may occur in the roof of unheated greenhouses, especially in winter, should be taken into account in greenhouse project studies.
