Özet: In this study, birth, 6th month and 12th month live weights and lactation characteristics were evaluated by using the data obtained from the National Project of Breeding in the Hand of the Anatolian Water Buffalo carried out in Balıkesir, Düzce and Kütahya between 2013 and 2017. Year was used as the source of heterogeneity, province was as factor and gender as covariate. Year, province and co-variable were found statistically significant on the weights of interest (P<0.001). There was no effect of the first 3 years on 12th month live weight and the increase in the last two years was statistically significant (P <0.001). 5721 lactation data of the same provinces were evaluated. The effect of province, birth season and years on lactation milk yield and lactation period was examined and results showed that all interactions were not statistically significant. In that case only main effects have been interpreted. 40.61% of births were in spring, 37.39% in summer and 22.01% in other months. The effect of birth season on lactation milk yield and lactation period was statistically significant (P<0.001). In buffaloes giving birth in winter, lactation milk yield is higher and lactation period is longer. In these buffaloes, milk yield at the beginning of lactation is low, but the recovery of pasture with the arrival of spring is one of the factors that increase milk yield. Fluctuations in lactation milk yield and duration have been observed over the years. As a result; the effects of some environmental factors on growth characteristics, lactation milk yield and duration were investigated. With the use of these factors, it is thought that the selection program that will be formed together will have positive effects. Also; In future studies, new selection programs can be created by adding other efficiency and performance parameters.
