Özet: History and literature was different, yet, the disciplines of mutual elements and close interaction. In Turkish context, the relation of history and novel was as old as Turkish novel. Historical novel was on rise after 1980’s in Turkey and in 1990’s, its subject was the Ottoman history, largely. In that period, as in the others, historical novel was not handled in terms of ideology and function. There are criticisms against the social sciences of postmodernism, especially to history after the revival in 1980’sIn that context, Tarihçilerden Başka Bir Hikâye was an example of the emergence of historicist theory.
