Özet: From the point of view of statement (beyan) sociology, sufism is one of the forms of religious and intellectual statement of Muslim society and civilization. In our study, this form of expression has been subjected to sociological and epistemological evaluation at the point of understanding of religion by taking its nature and development process into account. This evaluation is sociological in terms of economic stratification in the Muslim society and epistemological with regard to disintegration of knowledge as worldly and ethereally. All of these are the results of the division of the fiqh, which at first was a general and an inclusive method in understanding of religion, as exoterically and esoterically because of the secularization of Muslim society. Therefore, return to totality and comprehensiveness of fiqh that neglects the ethereal dimension of religion, is presented as a solution to this emerged separation
