Özet: Ömer Lütfi Barkan's article "Colonizator Turkish Dervishes" has very much discussed only in terms of Turkization and Islamization of Anatolia. However, the article contains many data appropriate for "multiple reading". The research has been advocating and explaining Turkmens' existance in Anatolia and their idea of "establishing a city". This study also aims to discuss how Barkan's "dervishes" resemble today's dervish conception, to criticize the concept of "foursome social group" enabled the foundation by the Ottoman Empire, to investigate the content of the Gazi-Ahi-Abdal concepts and finally to go beyond the paradigm of Turkmens' sedentizm
