Özet: The theoretical transformations that ‘sociology as a science’ experienced in it involve significant accumulation about the details of modernization. The ideas that ‘modernity’ explains the world we live in with an integrated conceptualization gradually shake. Furthermore, the concepts such as ‘postmodern’, ‘latemodern’, ‘advanced modern’ are becoming the conceptualizations that reveal the disengagement from ‘traditional modern’ analysis forms associated with the social contexts of the lived era. In terms of social theory, the signifiers of this process are the transformations which tell the transition from ‘macro size’ (even medium-size) to ‘micro size’ theories. Without doubt, the analysis forms of diversifying society by sociological tradition in this process involve the new ideological efforts which arose in order to explain the new social crisis. In the lines of this text, while referring to the transformations and experiences that ‘social theory’ lived in itself; by making inferences about the academic study conditions in which ‘sufism academy’ is and we will make analyses in terms of the dilemmas and the opportunities of it. Therefore, by making suggestions via ‘social theoretical’ tradition, suggestions about the future of ‘sufism academy’ and the handicaps in it will be made
