Özet: The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between the attachment styles to God and mystical experience scores of university students and to determine the relations with the variales of gender and graduated high school. The sample of the study consisted of 197 (65.5%: Female, 34.5%: Male) students who are studying in Theology and Islamic Sciences Faculties at some universities such as Istanbul University, Marmara University, and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University. As a method of data collection was carried out a survey form which contained both ‘attachment to God inventory’, was developed by Beck and McDonald (2004), adapted to Turkish by Subaşı (2012) and ‘mysticism scale’, was developed by Hood (1975), adapted to Turkish by Ünal (2000). In order to determine the relationships among variables; frequency, Independent sample t-Test, and Pearson correllation analysis were applied in SPSS statistic 18. In the research, it is found out that there is a significant positive correlation among the scores of both secure and anxious attachment to God with mystical experience.
