Özet: Although Urartian wall paintings were only a small part of Urartian visual art of this civilization, they are carried all traces of Urartian art. Urartian Wall paintings include the artistic features of the civilization as well as the effects of Assyrian and Egyptian art. Urartian Wall paintings were discovered in the centers of Anatolia includes, Anzavurtepe, Yukarı Anzaf, Armavir-Bulr, Arin-Berd, Çavuştepe, Altıntepe, Karmir-Blur, Kef Castle, Ayanis Castle and Toprakkale. The Ayanis Castle, one of these centers, is unique for both Urartian and NearEastern art when considering Wall paintings with different technique. This scope of the study, samples were examined at 10 points where Urartian Wall paintings were unearthed. From certain points on the examples, the main features of Urartian art and maenings of depicted themes for Urartian society were explained. Additionally, different cultural influences seen in Urartian art on the samples were revealed.
