Özet: Research data consisted of various body measurements and live weight of male and female Jersey calves born at Karaköy State Farm from 01.10.1992 to 18.04.1995. Body measurements and live weight were determined at birth, and at months 1, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, and 18. In addition the types of transferrin and haemoglobin in the blood serum in trial animals were determined by Starch Gel Electrophoresis. The effects of various environmental factors were investigated by Least Square Analysis for each characteristics. Necessary standardization was carried out on related data for effects which were found to be statistically significant, except Tf and Hb types. It was concluded that animals with TfAD and TfAD genotypes have superior growth performance. They should be used in breeding because they reach the first insemination live weight earlier than other genotypes.
