Özet: The results of transformations in the city center which have begun after industrialization are discussed in a wide context. In connection with that the concept of ‘quarter’ and housing settlements has changed too. This case is concerned with estrangement person in modern era. Gated communities, which are accepted as new housing settlements, attribute a special meaning to social intercourse and aim at revitalization of traditional quarters and neighborhoods. Gated communities are discussed in the literate in the context of neo-liberal policy, postmodernity and consumption culture with a wide social background. This study purposes to investigation the gated communities in the context of social intercourse and neighborhood.
