Özet: Since the sixtennth century, because the Russians began to get stronger and be effective in the region of Crimean and Caucasian, there had been emigrations from these regions to Anatolia. Nonetheless, from the area, in where the Ottoman Empire lost its ground, there had been emigrations to Anatolia also. Eskişehir had been one of the important centers during these emigrations. There are many Tatars among those emigrants, who were settled in Eskişehir. They tried to have a country in the position of foreigness, want and poverty and, in generel, they became the first founders of the areas that they had settled. İn Eskişehir, being an important trade center of central Anatolio, Tatars were the great majority of the population. Eskişehir, with its center and villages, is a city of us in which the most Criemean Tatar lives.. They also exemplified their sorroundings with their assiduity. As a result of emigrations, Eskişehir’s population rised to a large extent and also its social and culturel life awaked greatly.
