Özet: In this article, urban models that have been built as part of ideal and utopia concepts are examined in the historical process. During this examination, formal approaches to models and transportation construct (relationships) are discussed in the forefront.  These models are the problems that arise especially during the periods of change and transformation of the world such as Renaissance, Baroque and Industry periods and search for solutions to these problems. The target is always the attempt to provide a lifestyle with better conditions with a better working system. Today, what is discussed as different from the past is; the extreme growth of population (source of life) bringing nature to the verge of deflection, the dependence on automobiles and growth of isolation of mankind effecting the urban life.  Therefore, it shows itself in present approaches where future concern is discussed in different dimensions.
