Özet: Urban body makes the city readable just like a text. Since there is a body character apart from one’s personal identity, reading space through body is the most significant indicator of how much a city has been preserved as a living entity. The authority that built the city would attribute different roles to the body to the extent that it differentiates between concrete and stone.  In this regard, the body needs to learn how to live, move, breathe, protect itself and relax. The relationship between the city and body in time creates urban bodies and bodily cities. This paper will analyze the urban forms of body in the context of Mardin, a city that still has not lost the senses of touching.
