Özet: This study will address a traditional middle-class residential district in Ankara formed as the apartment buildings replaced vineyard houses in the 1950s. It aims to provide a general picture of Küçükesat from past to present in the light of information concerning how the district has been historically formed and developed, its socio-demographic nature and the neighborhood culture and life particularly felt in the 1970s. In this vein, interviews with women from different generations living in the district and entries in Ekşisözlük social networking site intensively visited by youth will be used. Thus, the study will bring both the views of old district dwellers based on their urban experiences about the place they live and the impressions of relatively younger generations and analyze the neighborhood life in different periods of Küçükesat.
