Özet: There is great evidence that cultural industries, supported by urban policies, reveal great economical, spatial and cultural impacts in cities. This paper deconstructs film industry by its organizational and spatial structure, which stems from the unique structure of Istanbul and prone to cluster. Besides internal policies, the contribution of the central and local policies that might produce solutions for the major problems, potentials and projections of the film industry is discussed, regarding the data collected in a broad research conducted in between 2005-2013.
