Özet: The November 2011 revelation of the killing of 8 Turks, 1 Greek citizen and 1 German police officer between the years 2000 and 2006, committed by the racist terror group National Socialist Underground (NSU), showed that the extreme rightist terror became organized and caused a great trauma in Germany, starting new debates. The use of terror by a racist organization was unacceptable and negligible to the official institutions until then. The gravity of the case and the negligence as well as failures in due identification of the real situation by the state institutions could be recognized now better. Since the first recruitment of Turkish workers to be employed in Germany by means of a bilateral agreement, Turks belonging to younger generations became today an integral part of the society, in which they live. In recent years, integration is the main discussion subject about Turks in Germany. Nevertheless, determinations and debates on this matter are disintegrative, focussing generally on otherness and cultural identity. The most significant reason of this approach should be sought in neoliberal policies that are in line with globalism. These policies weakened the social solidarity and, among other consequences, encouraged hostilities especially against migrants and weaker social classes in the society. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate xenophobic convictions, attitudes and behaviours as well as racist terror in this context.
