Özet: There has been a shift in the paradigm of international migration which has lead to the formation of dynamic transnational spaces. Contemporary immigrants are constantly in communication and in connection with their country of origin, destination or any other culture. The second and third generations are more active agents in creating bricolage social structures. They are transforming themselves as well as their image in the European Union; while creating binding identities in politics, business, science and arts. Recent researches focusing on educational, occupational and socio-economical statuses of Turkish immigrants in Germany, France and Holland have revealed part of this transformation. The integration strategies of EU and member countries aim at the advancement of the multicultural structure. Nevertheless, there are a series of brand-new problems which is brought by the dynamism caused by these strategies, transnational space and global culture. This article portraits the last five years of Turkish immigrants in Western Europe by bringing together some public and academic researches, parliamentary reports and case studies.
