Özet: In this paper, we firstly start from the evolution of Turkey’s working regime in coal mining industry with special focuse on the problems which created with privatization process after 1980. Then, we will discuss the possibilities and limitations of workers’ self-management practices in coal mining industry, which are worker oriented rather than profit oriented and profitable at the same time.
