Özet: Nevsehir is one of the satellite cities where immigrants who are considered as “subsidiary protection and conditional refugees” are accommodated. Although they are considered as temporary, third country procedures related to foreigners who seek protection from Turkey may last longer. During this period, asylum seeker children are obliged to a childhood in purgatory without their homeland, cultures, -especially for unaccompanied children- and families along with economic and social deficiencies and problems. Therefore, public institutions have to take important responsibilities. In this framework, this paper examines why migration is a turbulent process with regard to children as well as which government services and policies are implemented in Nevşehir as an example of satellite cities based upon the findings obtained from state organizations and institutions.
