Özet: Individualism and instrumental mind that modernity has brought with seventeenth century have taken the technology and science to its center at the point of analyzing irregularity and mythical dogma in the nature by penetrating all aspects of life. The last point of search about secrets of nature through scientific information is that Cartesian thought have legitimated this exploitation which predisposes to exploitation of nature by reducing the nature to the basic benefit. The benefit based thought of individualism about nature to be created for the benefit of human has made a point of irreversibility by destroying nature greatly. At this point, the awareness of nature destruction has ensured that the social movements also take place in ecology axis and anarchist ecology which based on a strong Enlightenment and the critique of capitalism brought various alternatives and solutions to end this destruction. Eco-anarchism, which explains the birth of the ecological crisis with authority and domination, has stood in front of all the institutionalized formations that creates hierarchy, domination and oppression as it is in the basic philosophy of anarchism, and has searched for answers to the ecological crisis in this direction. Hence, in this study, a critique of Enlightenment has been located to a general outline of Enlightenment critique for understanding the ecological crisis. Anarchism and anarchist thought which is usually accepted as negative because of being a misunderstood concept has been explained with ideas of not only anarchist pioneers such as Godwin, Stirner, Proudhon, Bakunin and Kropotkin, but also with Tolstoy because of his sympathies for anarchism and his interpretation of anarchism in a different way. Eco-anarchism which feeds from anarchism and a flow that offers a variety of alternatives at the point of solving the ecological crisis has been evaluated in this context.
