Özet: Kaynarca is a town densely populated by Manav, the Turkmen groups that came to Anatolia from Central Asia and started their agricultural activities. The villages where Manav were engaged in weaving in the past years have been identified, and Şeyhtımarı Konak village, one of the villages where rug weaving is intensely made, has been identified as a research area. It is possible to come across rugs in every house in Şeyhtımarı Konak and the surrounding villages, but today nobody is weaving. It is important to document the last rug samples left in the houses. We visited the region and interviewed people who were engaged in rug weaving in the past, and information about the past and current situation of weaving was obtained. With the raw materials and loom types used in the production of the rugs, 3 in Şeyhtımarı Konak village mosque and 12 in the houses, a total of 15 (yeşili, kandilli, çizgili nağışlı, sofralı, örnekli, yenidünya, çöp, kelebekli, koca nağışlı, tekel nağışlı ve parmaklı rugs) rugs related information has been received. About rugs, width dimensions, weaving technique, motif, color and composition features were examined, documented with photographs and information forms were prepared. The most distinctive feature of the rugs woven by the Manav Turks is the linen yarn, which is the basic material of the weaving.
