Özet: The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of fun chemistry activities developed based on scientific inquiry to 10th grade students to associate chemistry lesson with daily life, to increase interest and to make choice in the 11th grade. The study was carried out with a case study method, which gave an opportunity to focus on a specific subject or situation. In order to investigate the sample group in this study, purposive sampling path was followed. In addition, the sample was determined as 25 10th grade students studying in the 10th grade in high schools in a province and its districts in the Eastern Black Sea Region, based on the principle of easy accessibility. The activities developed in the study were implemented in the Faculty of Education campus of a state university in the Eastern Black Sea Region, within the scope of a 4-day program. In order to determine students' level of associating chemistry with daily life, the relationship with daily life, GIT, field preference form and reflective diaries were used as data collection tools. GIT and field preference form was applied as pre-test, post-test. In addition, the students were asked to write reflective papers on the effects of their knowledge and experience on the positive or negative thoughts of chemistry. It was determined that the activities developed at the end of the study had positive effects on students' association of chemistry with daily life, students enjoyed the application process, stated that they increased their interest towards the course and that they would select the numerical sections in the field preference forms.
