Özet: In this study, the effect of excessive workload perception and family demands on work-family conflict is  investigated. In order to achieve this purpose, data from 208 people were collected by using questionnaire  method among quantitative research techniques. The sample of the study was composed of teachers working  in private schools in Isparta and Burdur provinces. With the established structural model, the effects of the  perception of work overload and family demands on two sub-dimensions of work-family conflict were  investigated. According to the results, it was determined that teachers' perception of work overload positively  and significantly affected only one sub-dimension of work-family conflict (conflict from work to family). It was  found that family demands experienced by teachers had a positive and significant effect on both sub-dimensions  of work-family conflict (work-family conflict and family-work conflict). The results obtained in the study were  discussed in terms of the education sector and private schools’ employees.
