Özet: This article introduces a uniquly – extent copy of the book called Müntehâb min Kitâb-ı Teşrîh, written in the 19th century in the style of Rica on medicine. The work is in the Gazi Hüsrev Bey Library in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The book which is on Anatomy, includes the terms used for animal bones in 45 pages. The names of these bones are given in Arabic and Turkish, and in some places in Latin. The bones of animals such as pigs, cats, dogs constitute the majortiy of the work. According to the catalog information in the Gazi Hüsrev Bey Library and the text on the cover page of the work the author of his medical work is Bosnian Mehmet Tevfik Efendi. However, when we look at the life and letters of Bosnian Mehmet Tevfik Efendi, it is not possible that he could have written a medical work named Müntehâb min Kitâb-ı Teşrîh. İt is highly probable that the medical work named Müntehâb min Kitâb-ı Teşrîh was created by selecting some chapters from various medical books in that period. In this study, after giving brief information about medical works in Bosnia and introducing the work named Müntehâb min Kitâb-ı Teşrîh in detail, I will examine and scrutinize the spelling and language features of the work.
